FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How will I know if I have won a holiday prize in the 2009 awards?

The list of winners of the holiday prizes will be published on the website in early December 2009. After the winners return from their holidays they will be invited to write about their experience and post photos of their holiday on The British Travel Awards website, hosted by Holly Holliday.

When do nominations for The British Travel Awards 2010 close?

Travel industry professionals can nominate for the companies they think should go forward to the voting stage of the British Travel Awards from April until 16 June 2010.  Open voting begins on 1st July and ends on 30 September 2010.  Categories requiring completion of criteria forms must be submitted for entry by 30 August 2010 at the latest.

When can I vote for my favourite companies in The British Travel Awards?

Consumer and trade votes will be invited on the shortlist of companies from 1st July until 30 September 2010.

What if I don’t want to vote for one of the suggested shortlisted companies who have been nominated?

There is a “free text” box for most categories which means you can type in the company of your choice in the “other” text box if your favourite company is not listed.

When will The British Travel Awards 2010 take place?

The date of the event this year will be Thursday 4th November 2010 at Battersea Evolution, Battersea Park in London.  It’s a black-tie function – full details of the event will be posted on the website closer to the date.

Can I enter the holiday prize draw without completing the voting form?

Yes and No. Consumers are only required to answer the attitudinal survey at the end of the voting form to be included in the draw.  Industry professionals are only required to register votes in the trade-only categories they wish to register opinions for.

Maybe you have no experience of certain types of holiday so you would rather not make a snap vote decision.  But, you’ve come this far - just do what you can and fill in as much of the voting form as you like.  You can always come back to the form later and just log in with your email address and password and the magical voting programme will just take you back to where you left off last time you visited the site!
